Join us for Celebrate Recovery on Sunday evenings. Bring your hurts, habits and hang-ups into a safe environment with likeminded people. We have a time of fellowship between 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM (come for a freshly brewed cup of coffee) and then come together in a large group format beginning at 6:00 PM. We have small groups immediately following the large group time.

PAL – Parent/People of Addicted Loved Ones

Join us on the first Monday of every month in a safe environment with likeminded people. We come together in a time of sharing and supporting of each other.

Recurring Event Journaling Through Recovery

Journaling Through Recovery

Join us in a safe environment on Monday mornings at the Mission 25 Recovery Engagement Center as we journal our way through recovery. Explore journal writing and/or drawing as a recovery tool in expressing feelings in a healthy, safe and non-judgmental way. We will provide prompts for those who choose to write or draw in their journals. The tools will be provided, along with freshly brewed coffee.

A Look At Stigma Reduction in Our Community

Learn more about stigma and substance use disorder in this free 1-hour training for clinical and non-clinical individuals.

Learning Objectives

  • How stigma impacts access to services and creates barriers to treatment.
  • The concepts of substance use disorder as a disease.
  • How to utilize language and pro-active service techniques to facilitate connections with individuals with substance use disorder and reduce barriers to treatment.

About the Presenter

Tasha Brown is a Registered Nurse and the Director of Outreach and Program Development at Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana. She serves as the Nurse Consultant at Riley Hospital for Children for the Department of Child Services’ Psychotropic Medication Advisory Program. She served as coordinator and presenter for the Marion County Health Department’s Compassionate Care: Stigma Reduction Training Initiative and Program Coordinator at IU School of Medicine’s Project ECHO Substance Use Disorder Series.
